It was really good up to the point where you started to describe "the left", and what we supposedly want and believe. At that point, your brilliant essay went off the rails. You do not understand the left. You have a caricature of "the left" in your mind. It tells me that you don't have enough real conversations with people on the left to know how we think and what we believe.
